We are so happy to welcome 11-year-old Rashid Affan from Kapilvastu as our 309th Leo’s Kid! This brave boy has been diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B ALL), a type of blood cancer, and is currently receiving treatment at Bharatpur Cancer Hospital.
Rashid is now staying at our C-Flat, which provides a safe and supportive “home away from home” for him and his family during his medical journey. His father, Abdur rab Musalman, works at a Kirana Pasal (grocery store), and his mother, Saharun Nesha, is a dedicated housewife. Rashid is also supported by his three siblings.
Before his diagnosis, Rashid was a diligent student in Grade 5 at Buddhaland Academy. His journey began with a persistent, continuous fever. When he was taken for a medical checkup, initial tests revealed a low blood count, which raised suspicions of blood cancer. He was quickly referred for further evaluation and is now heroically facing his treatments.
Despite these sudden challenges, we are committed to standing by Rashid and his family every step of the way. Let’s surround them with love and strength as they join our Team Leo’s Kids family!
