We’re overjoyed to share the heartwarming news that our 270th Leo’s Kid, 12-year-old Renuka Rai, has successfully completed her active treatment for blood cancer and is now entering the maintenance phase!
Renuka is the 156th Leo’s Kid to survive cancer!
After 157 days of dedicated care and unwavering strength, Renuka is finally heading home. Renuka received her treatment at B.P. Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital. During these challenging 157 days, Renuka and her family stayed at Leo’s Kid C-Flat, which became their home away from home.
Her parents, Agam Sher Rai (who works in farming) and Yanita Rai (a housewife), have been a pillar of strength, providing immense love and courage throughout Renuka’s journey. Their dedication, along with Renuka’s incredible resilience, has brought them to this significant milestone.
We are incredibly proud of Renuka and her family and wish her all the best on her continued path to full recovery!
