Meet our 234th Leo’s Kid, Baby Sonik Khanal! 🙏🏽
Today, we open our hearts and welcome our 234th brave Leo’s Kid, 8-month-old Sonik Khanal, into our family. Little Sonik, from Nuwakot, is currently undergoing treatment for liver cancer at Patan Hospital.
Sonik’s journey began at five months old, when he was a healthy, joyful baby. At six months, a fever and loss of appetite led his parents, Arjun and Saraswoti Khanal, to seek medical help. They are a farming family from Nuwakot, with one other child. A medical checkup at Trisuli Hospital revealed abnormal tissue, and after a referral to Kanti Children’s Hospital, the difficult diagnosis of cancer was confirmed. He is now receiving care at Patan Hospital and staying with us at Leo’s Kids P-Flat.
Even at such a young age, Sonik shows incredible resilience. We are committed to providing him and his family with long-term housing, food, transportation, and support for his medical expenses throughout his treatment journey.
