We’re filled with joy as we celebrate a wonderful milestone for our 211th Leo’s Kid, Savatya Marattha!
🎉 This incredibly resilient 14-year-old from Lamjung, who has been bravely undergoing treatment for blood cancer, is heading home after completing her maintenance phase with us!
Savatya stayed at our C-Flat for four months, and we’ve loved having her as part of our Leo’s Kids family. Her journey has been one of immense courage. At just two years and eight months old, she faced eye cancer, which led to the complete loss of her right eye.
More recently, while attending Gandaki Boarding School in Pokhara, she experienced a pale face and rashes on her leg. A community hospital suspected cancer and referred her to Teaching Hospital Kathmandu, where on Kartik 13th, 2018, she was diagnosed with blood cancer.
Her father, Bharat Marattha, a teacher, and her mother, Sarswoti Pandit, along with her sibling Savya, have been her unwavering support system throughout this challenging time. Savatya’s strength and spirit inspire us all, and we are so proud of her progress. We’ll miss her dearly, but we’re thrilled to see her return home to her family. Keep shining, Savatya! ❤️
