Meet our 253rd Leo’s Kid: Riya Kumari Rishidev!
We are so honored to welcome our 253rd Leo’s Kid, Riya Kumari Rishidev! This brave 13-year-old girl from Morang is currently undergoing treatment for Cheek Cancer at Nepal Cancer Hospital in Harishiddhi.
Riya’s journey began when her parents, Kuleshwor Rishidev, a hardworking farmer, and Sunita Rishidev, a devoted housewife, noticed swelling in her neck and a persistent fever. They sought care at Biratnagar Koshi Hospital and later at Birat Teaching Hospital, eventually leading them to Nepal Cancer Hospital for her specialized treatment.
Now, Riya is staying at our P-Flat, a safe and supportive home away from home where she and her family can focus on her recovery. Riya, who has four siblings, was in Class 1 at Mahendra Ni. Ma. Bi Adharbhut Bidhyalaya before her diagnosis. She finds comfort and joy in watching movies, a wonderful way for her to relax during this challenging time.
