Meet our 219th Leo’s Kid, Ritesh Basnet!
Our 219th Leo’s Kid, 11-year-old Ritesh Basnet is hails from Barachhetra-10 Prakashpur, Sunsari, and is currently receiving treatment for B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) at Kanti Children’s Hospital in Kathmandu. He’s now comfortably settled in our K-Flat in Dhapasi, a safe and supportive home away from home.
Ritesh’s journey began with a loss of appetite, leading his parents, Ramesh Basnet (who runs a shop) and Pabitra Kumari Katwal, to seek medical help. After initial detection of low blood levels at Saptakoshi Neuro Hospital and a referral from Birtamod Cancer Hospital, Ritesh arrived at Kanti for specialized care. Before his diagnosis, Ritesh was a lively 4th-grader at Sunshine English Boarding School in Sunsari, and like many boys his age, he absolutely loves playing football! ⚽
