We are honored to welcome our 255th Leo’s Kid, Rakesh Nepali, a brave 8-year-old boy from Dhangadi, Kailali! Rakesh is currently undergoing treatment for Bone Cancer at Patan Hospital in Kathmandu.
Rakesh’s journey began when he developed a fever and a painful, swollen leg. These symptoms concerned doctors, who referred him to a hospital in Kathmandu for further tests. After being sent to Patan Hospital, he received the challenging diagnosis of bone cancer.
His father, Rajesh Damai, works as a waiter, and his mother, Laxmi Damai, is a cook. To provide a supportive and safe environment for Rakesh and his family during this time, we are providing them a home at our P-Flat. Before his diagnosis, Rakesh was a Class 3 student at Shree Saraswoti Basic School, and he loves to play Kabaddi.
Let’s all send our strength and support to Rakesh as he begins this fight. Your thoughts and well-wishes can make a world of difference for our Leo’s Kids.
