Meet our 230th Leo’s Kid, Khannuhang Rai!
We’re so happy to have 12-year-old Khannuhang join our family here at the Leonardo Edward Shrestha Foundation.
Khannuhang hails from Lumbini and has been diagnosed with B-Cell Lymphoma. His journey to diagnosis began with persistent stomach ache and vomiting, leading his parents, Ajamber and Prabha Rai, to seek answers at B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Sunsari. When a diagnosis couldn’t be made there, they traveled to Bir Hospital in Kathmandu, where a medical checkup confirmed cancer. He’s now receiving treatment at Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital.
While he undergoes his treatment, Khannuhang is staying comfortably at the Arlene Miskelly Memorial Flat, a space generously sponsored by Chamara Amarsinghe. Before his diagnosis, Khannuhang was a 6th-grade student at Shree Sabitri Ma Bi., Bhojpur.
