We are honored to welcome 12-year-old Harka Koli from Dhangadi, Kailali, as our 244th Leo’s Kid! This brave young boy has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and is currently undergoing treatment at Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital.
Harka’s journey has been challenging. It all began with persistent headaches, leading to an initial diagnosis of a brain tumor at a local medical center. He then underwent surgery at Ramprati Hospital in India. While he seemed fine for about two months post-operation, the headaches returned, prompting another visit—this time to Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital, where he received the cancer diagnosis.
We are so grateful that Harka is now comfortably staying at the Arlene Miskelly Memorial – Flat, generously sponsored by Sunayana Limbu. This provides a supportive and safe environment for him and his family during this difficult time. His father, Balram Koli, and his mother, Tara Koli, are both dedicated farmers, and they are by his side every step of the way. Before his diagnosis, Harka was a bright student in Class 4 at Chaikot Medium School.
Let’s rally around Harka and his family with love and encouragement as they continue this courageous fight. Your support means the world to our Leo’s Kids.
