We are so honored to welcome our 237th Leo’s Kid, Govinda Bahadur Sarki! This brave 4-year-old boy, originally from Dadehdhura, has recently joined our family and is beginning his journey to recovery.
Govinda has been diagnosed with Wilms Tumor, a type of kidney cancer. His parents, Krishna Bahadur Sarki, a hardworking cook and helper, and Indu Sarki, noticed he started eating less, and his stomach began to get bigger. After initial examinations in Dhangadi and Barelli, they made their way to Chitwan, where Govinda is now receiving treatment at Bharatpur Cancer Hospital. He’s currently staying comfortably at our C-Flat, a safe and supportive home away from home while he focuses on getting well.
Before his diagnosis, Govinda was a bright little student, attending nursery class at Bhaghchaur School. His favorite thing to do is play with balls, and we can already see his resilient spirit shining through! We are committed to supporting Govinda and his family every step of the way, providing housing, food, transportation, and assistance with medical expenses, as we do for all our Leo’s Kids.
Please join us in sending your warmest wishes and strength to Govinda and his family. Your encouragement means the world to them as they navigate this challenging time.
If you’d like to support brave Leo’s Kids like Govinda, please consider donating. 🙏🏽 Your kindness changes lives.
