We are so happy to welcome 15-year-old Dinesh Bishwokarma from Dolakha, Giri as our 242nd Leo’s Kid! This brave young man has been diagnosed with lymphadenopathy and lymphoma and is currently receiving treatment at Kanti Children’s Hospital in Kathmandu.
Dinesh is now staying comfortably at our K-Flat, a safe and supportive home away from home while he focuses on getting well. His father, Buddhabir Kami, works in agriculture, and his mother is Harimaya Bishwokarma. He has two siblings. Before his diagnosis, Dinesh was a diligent Grade 8 student at Shree Boudha bhuwoneshwori secondary school.
His journey began with fever, weight loss, and shivering. His family first took him to Giri Hospital, where his condition raised concerns. He was then referred to Bir Hospital, and from there to Kanti Children’s Hospital. After thorough tests, he was diagnosed with lymphadenopathy and lymphoma.
Let’s surround Dinesh and his family with love and support as they begin this journey with Team Leo’s Kids.
