Meet our 301st Leo’s Kid, Dhanshyam Kahar!
We are honored to welcome 17-year-old Dhanshyam Kahar as our 301st Leo’s Kid! This resilient young man from Rupandehi has been diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) and is currently receiving treatment at Bharatpur Cancer Hospital.
Dhanshyam’s journey began when his family noticed swelling in his legs. After seeking initial help at Krishnamat Hospital in Butwal, they were referred to B.P. Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital (BPKMCH) in Bharatpur, Chitwan, where his diagnosis was confirmed.
To support him during his treatment, Dhanshyam and his family are staying at our C-Flat, providing a safe and supportive home away from home. Ghanshyam is a student at Shree Nava Durga Secondary School, having completed Class 5.
His parents, Shiv Kumar Kahar and Akalmati Kahar, both work as farmers to support their family, which includes Dhanshyam’s siblings, Roshani and Abhay.
