We’re overjoyed to share the heartwarming news that our 189th Leo’s Kid, the 12-year-old Nimina Rai, has successfully completed her active treatment for a brain tumor and is now entering the maintenance phase! Nimina is our 112th Leo’s Kid to survive cancer!
Nimina received her treatment at Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital under the expert care of Dr. Ritu Lamechhne. During these challenging 162 days, Nimina and her family stayed at Leo’s Kid Arlene Miskelly Memorial flat, in the Chamara Amara Singha room, which became their home away from home.
Her parents, Dhana Kumar Rai, a farmer, and Tika Rai, a housewife, have been a pillar of strength, providing immense love and courage throughout Nimina’s journey.
We are incredibly proud of Nimina and her family and wish her all the best on her continued path to full recovery!
