Thirteen-year-old Bhumika from Simariya is currently undergoing treatment for AML (acute myeloid leukemia) at Kanti Children’s Hospital. She’s now staying at Leo’s Kids K-Flat in Kathmandu, in a room generously sponsored by one of our incredible supporters.
Bhumika is the beloved daughter of Mohan Kumar, a teacher, and Kumari Kalpana. She has one sibling back home and was attending Grade 7 at Peace Buddha Jyoti Academy before her diagnosis.
Her journey began with a high fever and severe back pain. After initial treatment at Novel Hospital in Biratnagar didn’t help, she was referred to Kanti where she was diagnosed with cancer. Despite the challenges, Bhumika remains strong and resilient. In between her treatments, she enjoys playing video games and spending time with her family.
Let’s all send strength and love to Bhumika as she continues her brave fight. We’re so proud to welcome her into the Leo’s Kids family.
