👦🏽 Aali’s dad spoke with Sunil recently during their Leo’s Kid Care Meeting. They talked about how 10-year-old Aali is doing and how things are coming along with Aali’s prosthetic leg.
🦵🏽 Aali’s dad was happy to say that with Aali’s new leg he is able to get around well now without crutches.
🏡 Aali, our 39th Leo’s Kid, is doing very well and is at the end of his active treatment. He is very excited to go home after about a year and a half of active treatment. He’s ready to see his siblings, his mom, and aunts and uncles.
🩺 He hasn’t graduated yet and needs to come back in 2 weeks staying in our Leo’s Kids Flats near Kanti Children’s Hospital so he can get his final blood tests and MRI. If he is cleared after these tests, then he will “graduate” and continue on to maintenance phase.
🎉 We are happy for you, Aali, that after waiting for a long time you’re finally able to walk on your new leg and look forward to seeing family back home.
🌸 We deeply appreciate those of you who are able to partner with us financially to support these precious children and families either with a one-time donation or a monthly donation. This helps ensure our ability to provide ongoing support to these families in their time of crisis.
