Celebrating Anu Shrestha: Our 150th Leo’s Kid to survive cancer!
We’re overjoyed to share the heartwarming news that our 233rd Leo’s Kid, 5-year-old Anu Shrestha, has successfully completed her active treatment for B ALL (B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) and is now entering the maintenance phase! Anu is a very special milestone for us as the 150th Leo’s Kid to survive cancer!
After 316 days of dedicated care and unwavering strength, Anu is finally heading home. Anu received her treatment at Kanti Children’s Hospital. During these challenging 316 days, Anu and her family stayed at Leo’s Kid K-Flat in the Dalle Momo room, which became their home away from home.
Her parents, Suman Shrestha (who works in farming) and Anjana Shrestha, have been a pillar of strength, providing immense love and courage throughout Anu’s journey. Their dedication, along with Anu’s incredible resilience, has brought them to this significant milestone.
We are incredibly proud of Anu and her family and wish her all the best on her continued path to full recovery!
To help us continue supporting more brave children like Anu in their fight against cancer, please consider making a donation. Every contribution brings hope and healing to a child in need.
