We are so honored to welcome Prasamsha Ghimire, our 298th brave Leo’s Kid, to the Leonardo Edward Shrestha Foundation family! This inspiring 6-year-old girl from Jhimruk Rural Municipality, Pyuthan, has recently joined our family and is beginning her journey to recovery.
Prasamsha has been diagnosed with Blood cancer. Her story began when she initially experienced fever, stomach pain, and a loss of appetite. She was first taken to the Pyuthan District Hospital and then referred to AMDA Hospital in Butwal, where blood cancer was suspected. She was then referred to B.P. Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital (Bharatpur), where her diagnosis was confirmed.
Prasamsha is now staying comfortably at our C-Flat, a safe and supportive home away from home while she focuses on getting well. Her father, Krishna Ghimire, is a teacher, and her mother, Bimala Pokhrel Ghimire, works in farming. Before her diagnosis, Prasamsha was a bright student in Class 1 at Jana Bikash Aadharbhut Vidhyalaya.
Despite the challenges she faces, we know Prasamsha’s resilient spirit will shine through! Please join us in sending your warmest wishes and strength to Prasamsha and her family as they navigate this challenging time.
