We are so happy to welcome 10-year-old Samikshya Kawor from Bangalachuli, Dang, as our 297th Leo’s Kid! This brave young girl has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (a type of bone cancer) in her right distal radius.
Samikshya’s medical journey began when she experienced swelling and pain in her right hand and wrist, which was initially thought to be a fracture. She was first taken to Nepalgunj Hospital for evaluation, and after further testing and a biopsy, she was referred to Patan Hospital, where her diagnosis was confirmed.
Samikshya is now staying comfortably in our P-Flat (Hattiban, Patan), providing a safe and supportive environment for her and her family during her treatment. Her father, Khagiram Kawor, works in farming, and her mother, Pabitra Kawor, is a housewife.
Before her diagnosis, Samikshya was a diligent student in Class 5 at Shree Primary School.
Despite the challenges she faces, we know Samikshya’s resilient spirit will shine bright! Let’s surround Samikshya and her family with love and support as they begin this journey with Team Leo’s Kids.
