Meet our 281st Leo’s Kid: Sonakshya Kumari Shah! 🧡
We are happy to welcome Sonakshya Kumari Shah, a brave 12-year-old girl from Aurhi-4, Siraha, to our Leo’s Kids family. Sonakshya is currently fighting Blood Cancer and is receiving treatment at Bharatpur Cancer Hospital.
Sonakshya’s journey began with persistent pain in her hands and legs, along with frequent fevers. After medical tests revealed unusual results, she was taken to Janakpur Hospital, where cancer was diagnosed. She is now undergoing ongoing treatment at Bharatpur Cancer Hospital.
To provide a stable and supportive environment during her journey, Sonakshya and her family are staying at our C-Flat. This home away from home allows her parents, Jog Bahadur Shah, who works in farming, and Anita Devi Shah, a housewife, to focus entirely on her recovery. Before her diagnosis, Sonakshya was a dedicated student in Class 7 at Shree Ma Bi Aurhi-4.
Let’s surround Sonakshya and her family with love, strength, and hope as she undergoes her treatment. Every bit of support helps her get one step closer to returning home and to her school.
