We are thrilled to announce that our 212th Leo’s Kid, 7-year-old Riya Kawar, has successfully completed her active treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and is now entering the maintenance phase! Riya is the 123rd Leo’s Kid to survive cancer!
Riya received her treatment at B.P. Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital. During these challenging 80 days, Riya and her family stayed at Leo’s Kid C-flat, which became their home away from home.
Her parents, Min Bahadur Kawar and Basanta Kawar, both working in farming, have been an immense source of love and courage throughout Riya’s journey. Their unwavering dedication, along with Riya’s remarkable resilience, has brought them to this significant milestone.
