We are incredibly touched to introduce you to our newest Leo’s Kid, Anu Shrestha! This courageous 5-year-old girl, originally from Manthali, Ramechhap, has recently joined our foundation and is now receiving the vital support she needs during her cancer treatment.
Anu has been diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL) and is currently undergoing treatment at Kanti Children’s Hospital in Kathmandu. Her journey to diagnosis was a challenging one, starting with a persistent fever that led her parents, Suman and Anjana Shrestha, to seek help from multiple hospitals before finally receiving her diagnosis at Kanti. Suman, her father, is a dedicated laborer, and the family, including Anu’s two siblings back home, are all rallying around her. Before her diagnosis, Anu was a bright student in LKG at Karkala Devi Boarding School in Manthali.
Despite the immense challenges she faces, Anu’s spirit shines brightly. She finds comfort and joy in her hobbies of reading and writing, even amidst her treatments. We are so happy to provide Anu with a safe and nurturing environment at our Leo’s Kids K-Flat in Dhapasi, where she can rest and recover between hospital visits.
Anu’s resilience is truly inspiring, and we are committed to supporting her and her family every step of the way, providing long-term housing, food, transportation, and medical assistance. Your generosity makes this possible.
Please join us in sending your warmest wishes and prayers to Anu and her family as they embark on this treatment journey. Your encouragement means the world to them!
