We are happy to welcome Jeshika Kapari, our 236th brave Leo’s Kid, to the Leonardo Edward Shrestha Foundation family! Jeshika is an inspiring 11-year-old girl from Dhanusha, Janakpur, who is currently undergoing treatment for LCH (Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis) in her right leg at Kanti Children’s Hospital in Kathmandu.
Jeshika’s story highlights the unexpected paths life can take. Her journey began with a minor accident at school, where a bench fell on her leg. What seemed like a simple injury eventually led to a biopsy at Teaching Hospital, where doctors found CD1a and S100 positivity, confirming her LCH diagnosis. She has been bravely undergoing LCH protocol treatment for the past year.
Jeshika is now comfortably settled at Leo Apartment, a supportive environment where she can rest and recuperate between her treatments. Her father, Min Kumar Kapari, a dedicated tower worker, and her mother, Uma BKs, are by her side, providing unwavering support. Jeshika also has one sibling back home. Before her diagnosis, she was a diligent Grade 7 student at Bagh Bhairab Boarding English School in Kritipur.
Despite the challenges she faces, Jeshika’s spirit remains bright! She finds immense joy in drawing beautiful pictures and getting lost in the world of cartoons.
Let’s extend our warmest welcome to Jeshika and her family. Your thoughts, well wishes, and support mean the world to Leo’s Kids like her. Please share this post to help us spread awareness and rally around Jeshika as she continues her courageous fight.
