Meet Our 218th Leo’s Kid: Little Gyanendra Rawat! 💙
Join us in extending a warm welcome to our 218th Leo’s Kid, two-year-old Gyanendra Rawat! This brave little boy from Surkhet has been diagnosed with eye cancer and is now receiving specialized care at Kanti Children’s Hospital in Kathmandu. He and his parents, Ram Bahadur and Ausara Rawat, have traveled far from their home, where his father works as a farmer, to ensure Gyanendra gets the treatment he needs.
Gyanendra’s journey began with a fever, leading his family to seek help in Surkhet. When treatment wasn’t possible there, he was referred to Tilganga Eye Hospital in Kathmandu, where the family received the difficult diagnosis of cancer. Now, he’s undergoing treatment at Kanti Children’s Hospital and is comfortably settled in our Leo’s Kids K-flat in Dhapasi, a safe haven for him and his family during this challenging time.
Despite everything, little Gyanendra finds joy in playing with toys, a simple pleasure that brings a smile to his face. His resilience at such a young age is truly inspiring. We are honored to support Gyanendra and his family with housing, food, transportation, and medical assistance as they navigate his treatment journey.
