Introducing Urina BK: Our Newest Leo’s Kid from Chitwan!
We are happy to introduce you to our newest Leo’s Kid, 10-year-old Urina BK, joining us all the way from Chitwan! Urina is bravely battling brain cancer and is currently undergoing treatment at Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital.
Urina’s journey began with concerning symptoms like headaches, vomiting, and dizziness. After thorough medical evaluations, a tumor was discovered, and she was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. She is now receiving the necessary treatment to fight this disease. Our hearts go out to Urina and her family as they navigate this challenging time.
Urina’s family is here with her, providing constant love and support. Her father, Krishna Bahadur, is a hardworking driver, and her mother, Hom Maya, is dedicated to her care. Urina also has siblings back home. Before her diagnosis, Urina was a bright student in Grade 5 at Nandi Higher Secondary School.
While receiving treatment, Urina and her family are staying in a comfortable room generously sponsored by one of our incredible supporters, providing them with a safe and supportive environment away from home. Despite everything, Urina finds joy in her hobbies during her breaks from treatment.
