Our 208th Leo’s Kid, Aakanchya Devkota, was a sweet and brave 5-year-old girl from Chitwan who became part of the Leonardo Edward Shrestha Foundation family. She received treatment at Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital, facing her battle with remarkable strength.
Aakanchya joined us with a resilient spirit, courageously fighting a tumor during her stay at Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital. She and her family stayed for four weeks at the Arlene Miskelly Memorial Flat, in a room generously sponsored by Chamara Amarasinghe. Her loving parents, Bhim Bahadur and Aapti, stood beside her throughout her journey.
Despite the medical efforts, Aakanchya’s courageous fight has come to an end. Her strength and spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
